We have rain. Lots and lots of rain. I drove home from my parents house last night and at one point hit a pocket of water so high, it went over my SUV and I couldn't see a thing. It was like surfing.
So this morning I get up to drive my son to school. We're running late, so when we get to the bus stop we assumed we missed the bus. I turn the news channel on the radio, but there's nothing about school closings that I hear.
I drive my son to school (which is at least twenty minutes away) and just when we're about five minutes away, I switch channels, and guess what? Yes, no school. Flooding.
That's an hour round trip (I had to get gas) wasted. Now I have to drive another hour to work.
