An Interview with a world famous writer!

Ha! Just kidding. Today's interview is with Melanie Anderson, some no name author who writes about some sport... Cheese rolling? Oh no, it's racing. My bad.

Anyway, I just needed to fill space, so I agreed to interview her. But I warn you, it's pretty boring. It might be fun to read if you have insomnia.

Without further ado, blah, blah, here's the interview:

On a scale of 1-10, how awesome am I?

Seriously? You're still asking this question? Do you think it's getting a little old yet? I guess I'll give you a 10...maybe you'll stop asking it.

Whatever. Like you can talk. Why are you interviewing yourself? Are you that much of a loser?

Yes, yes, I am. Actually, I do have one writer I owe an interview at this time (Sorry, Paige, I'm working on it!), but other than that it's been pretty quiet. Hopefully, my blog will liven up soon.

Is it true your son will be starting high school in a couple weeks? Does that make you feel old as dirt?

Yes and yes. I don't want to talk about it.

Really? I mean, freshman year. Don't you remember the crazy stuff you did your freshman year?

OK. I get the point. But I am a loser, remember?

I do remember. Speaking of which...don't you ever leave the house?

I do. Sometimes. To go to work. Why? What's your point?

Oh, nothing. How is your dog Sheena doing?

She's hanging in there. The poor girl.

What are you wearing?

Excuse me? That's awfully personal. I'm wearing Snoopy shorts and a black t-shirt. Snoopy rocks.

What am we going to wear to work tomorrow?

I'm not sure yet. Did I ever wash my brown pants?

What are you reading now?

Oh! Blue-Eyed Devil, by Lisa Kleypas. So good! I really wish I could be reading it now instead of your stupid interview.

Excuse me? My interviews rock.

Umm..sure they do.

They do. Do you know I interviewed Nora Roberts?

I do. As does everyone, including a few people we don't know.

Well, I did. I did interview her.

Uh-huh. Can I go yet? Gymnastics is on and I have a book to read.

What's going on with your writing?

Umm...yeah, thanks for bringing that up. I still haven't gotten out of the funk that's been hanging over my head since well...you know. And so writing isn't going very fast. But I figure it will come back soon. It usually does. And I started a new book that I'm very excited about. The ghost story has been put on the shelf for the time being.

Are you still sad?

There's hardly a moment that goes by when I don't feel a twinge of sadness. But it's getting better.

Good. I'm tired of your moping.

Bite me.

Now you can say whatever you want. I'll be over here looking up multiple personality disorders.

Thanks. Obviously we uh...I need that. I don't have much to add. I just want to thank all those who have stuck by me and continue to read my blog and comment.

I'd also like to ask for prayers and thoughts for my friend Sheila. Her dad isn't doing too good right now.

Other than that... Oh! Swimming! Gotta go!

LOL, love it!
With a multiple personality disorder, at least when you're writing, you can bounce ideas off of yourself.

Take care, honey. It gets easier, although it takes lots of time, but that's okay too.

EXCELLENT interview Melly & Melly! *clap*

It can be hard to be objective and step outside oneself for inner reflection. (Wow, Psych 101 flashback! LOL)

I think this was a grand interview! LOL You should interview your younger self one day. And then follow up with the Melly of the future. Oooooo! LOL

I talk to myself sometimes... I've never interviewed myself, however.

Interesting. ;-)

Oh Mel, you are such a dear friend. I'm behind in checking out my usual blogs and what a surprise it was to find you asking others for prayers and thoughts for my dad.

Today was the funeral and it was a tough day. But coming here and reading you humorous posts gave me a smile.

Thanks.
Oh... and it's so nice to know I'm not the only lunatic. LOL
